About Kelci Letkemen
Masters Student Intern Clinician | Counselling
Kelci is in the practicum phase of her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program through Yorkville University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree from the University of Alberta. Beyond her work at Little Oaks, Kelci actively contributes to her community as an Emotional Behavioral Specialist with Edmonton Catholic Schools. In this role, she provides invaluable support to students facing emotional and behavioral challenges within the school environment as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
In her counseling practice, Kelci works under the guidance of her supervisor to provide support to individuals of all ages. Her approach is anchored in a person-centered, strengths-based framework, recognizing and nurturing the unique qualities and resources of each individual. Kelci also integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) strategies as she supports each client on their therapeutic journey.
Kelci cultivates a warm and inviting atmosphere, prioritizing values of authenticity, respect, and connection in her interactions. With a genuine commitment to creating a safe space for her clients, she fosters an environment where individuals feel valued and heard. Kelci's empathetic approach and compassionate demeanor allow her clients to feel comfortable expressing themselves openly, knowing they are met with acceptance and support.
