About Giovanna Dicker

Registered Psychologist | Assessment

Giovanna completed her Master’s in School and Applied Child Psychology at the University of Calgary. She completed her first practicum placement at the Integrated Services for Education (ISE) Clinic at the University of Calgary and her second practicum placement at Little Oaks Psychology. Giovanna has experience in providing psychoeducational assessment services to elementary school students, junior high school students, high school students, and adults. 

Giovanna believes that assessments are truly a gift for everyone involved. Understanding a child’s strengths and vulnerabilities is a gift to not only assist with self-understanding, but to have their parents, teachers, friends, and family understand them better too. She believes that assessments can really help validate experiences and answer longstanding questions. In her view, assessments can be life-changing. It is Giovanna’s goal to honour each individual who receives an assessment, instill hope in their future, help validate their lived experience, and help them succeed in anything they wish to pursue.
