About Danielle Mattson

Registered Provisional Psychologist

NOTE: Danielle is on leave until 2025.

Danielle is currently a PhD candidate in the Doctorate of School & Child Psychology and is a registered provisional psychologist in Alberta. She has experience providing evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention services in a variety of different settings, including schools, non-profit clinics, and private practice. Her research has focused largely on supporting healthy development in youth with neurodevelopmental differences and has included examining cognitive, academic, behavioural, and social-emotional functioning in such individuals.

Danielle firmly believes that everyone is capable of flourishing. She also believes that in order to do so, an individual must truly understand themselves. Accordingly, Danielle takes a holistic, strengths-based approach to helping her clients recognize their own unique abilities, needs, and challenges. She strives to empower her clients to identify and achieve the goals that are important to them using compassion, acceptance, and respect.
