About Christina Elder
Mental Health Therapist
Christina has completed her Master of Counselling program at City University of Seattle's Edmonton Campus. With a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta and six years of experience as a teacher with Edmonton Public Schools, she recognizes the importance of individualized support and the remarkable capacity for growth inherent within every person.
Christina acts as a collaborative facilitator in her role as a therapist, assisting people as they embark on their journeys of transformation and self-discovery. She values providing compassionate understanding, unwavering support, patience, respect, and a welcoming environment because she believes these traits are crucial to helping clients achieve meaningful progress in therapy.
Christina works with individuals of all ages, including children, teenagers, and adults. Her therapeutic approach is person-centred and strength-based, incorporating acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) alongside cognitive behavioural strategies to provide comprehensive support. Christina looks forward to joining clients on their paths of healing and personal growth, and she is ready to provide compassionate support while assisting them in working towards their goals.
