Registered Psychologist

Abanti is a Registered Psychologist and holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and Master of Science in Neuroscience. She offers assessment and counselling services to children, youth, and adults for a range of mental health and learning concerns at Little Oaks Psychology.

Abanti has substantial training and experience with psychological assessments via psychometric roles in clinical and research environments working with children, adolescents, and adults. Additionally, she completed her graduate level internship providing psychotherapy to children, youth, and families experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, and other mental health concerns. She utilizes evidence-based practices and employs various psychotherapeutic constructs such as Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, and elements of Narrative Therapy. Abanti strives to emphasize client strengths and provide opportunities for growth in a safe, understanding, and compassionate environment.

Abanti also has extensive research experience in cognitive deficits and executive functioning in youth utilizing brain imaging technology and psychological testing.
